With the same owners as the beloved Kloof Street House which is known for its impeccable food, interiors and ambience, Egghead is no different. Greeted with “hello’s” from the waitrons dressed in striped shirts with yellow aprons showing you to your seat. You can’t miss the antique wood furnishings complimented with comfy yellow diner booths, old school decorations of radios, books and plants.
Neon signs that bring the diner to life whilst the old fashioned and detailed glass from the hanging lights help you escape into your favourite 80’s movie. Welcomed by the friendly waitrons to your table, and oh gosh the best tea I have ordered, all aspects of food and ambience coming together in one word: yes!

I am a big breakfast person, especially when breakfast is served looking appealing and photogenic. Here at Egghead in Kloof street, Cape Town, you can find a simple yet classic menu of brioche buns with delicious fillings whether it be egg feta and avo, to smoked salmon egg and cream cheese. Mmm.
